Homework: 1. Revised QuickWrites due Tuesday 1. Work with partner to determine similarities and differences for Blake's "The Chimney Sweeper" poems using the Poetry Checklists.
2. Complete a QuickWrite addressing the following prompt: Choose ONE literary technique (diction, imagery, tone, point of view, alliteration, symbolism, rhyme, meter, etc.) and explain how Blake employs this technique to develop a common theme in both poems. NOTE: A QuickWrite should include the following: - A thesis statement at the beginning of response - Context for each poem - At least three pieces of evidence from the text (blended and cited with line numbers) - Detailed analysis relating back to thesis - Concluding statement - No grammatical, spelling, or mechanical errors *The QuickWrite should be completed in pairs and only one QuickWrite will be submitted per pair. Please email QuickWrite to Ms. Hall with individual Filename with both names, Blake as subject and QuickWrite as assignment name: EXAMPLE-- JHall and MGeorge_Blake_QuickWrite 1.
